Please review the list of volunteer position descriptions and shift times. Then indicate your first and second choices below. If a shift is not listed below, they are full. Shifts are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

Volunteer Position Descriptions & Shift Times
Bag Check (4 volunteers per shift) - Volunteers will help collect and check-in/out participants’ personal belongings. Volunteers in Shift B will help with clean up. (Shift A: 7:00am-11:00am, Shift B: 11:00am-3:00pm)
Check-In / Registration (12 volunteers for Shift A, 8 volunteers for Shift B, must be 18+) - Help participants check in or register for the event, hand out bibs, t-shirts, and collect donations. Volunteers in Shift B will help with clean up. (Shift A: 7:00am-10:00am, Shift B: 10:00am-1:00pm)
Course / Obstacle Monitors (40 volunteers per shift) - Stationed throughout the course and at the finish line, these volunteers direct participants as they run and watch to make sure they clear all obstacles safely. This is a great way to see all of the fun and cheer people on as they go! *Please note, this is an active position and will require some walking along the course.* (Shift A: 7:30am-11:30am, Shift B: 10:30am-2:30pm)
Floaters (10 volunteers per shift) – These will be our “go-to” volunteers anytime we need extra people throughout the day. In the event of last-minute cancelations, or for some areas where we end up requiring additional help, we will ask these volunteers to step in. This position requires a lot of flexibility and willingness to help out in any position! (Shift A: 7:30am-11:30am, Shift B: 10:30am-2:30pm)
Luau (10 volunteers per shift) – These volunteers will be in charge of greeting people as they enter the food line, checking off bibs, and serving delicious Hawaiian food to hungry participants. Volunteers will help with clean up in the food area. (Shift A: 9:00am-12:30pm, Shift B: 12:00pm-3:30pm)
Beer Garden Monitors (2 volunteers per shift, must be 21+) - Volunteers will be checking IDs and monitoring the Beer Garden perimeter. (Shift A: 9:00am-12:30pm, Shift B: 12:30pm-3:30pm)
Mahalo Club (VIP) (4 volunteers, must be 21+) – Volunteers in this special area reserved for our top fundraisers and special guests will be in charge of checking people in when they arrive and making sure they have everything they need for a VIP experience. (7:30am-12:00pm)
Medal Distributors (4 volunteers per shift) – Volunteers at the finish line will hand out medals to participants as they cross the finish line (Shift A: 8:30am-12:00pm, Shift B: 11:30am-3:00pm)
Start Line / Wave Starters (8 volunteers per shift) – Volunteers at the start line will gather participants for each start wave, make sure that teams start in 10-15 second intervals, and hand out pineapples! Volunteers will also keep the area organized and clear for runners. (Shift A: 8:00am-11:30am, Shift B: 11:00am-2:00pm)
