Fundraising Commitment and Goal

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) receives limited bibs for this highly prestigious and sought after marathon. In order to maximize those towards the mission, the LLS must choose the recipients who can have the most financial impact. All applicants must supply both a fundraising commitment as well as an overall goal. Your commitment should be viewed as the bottom line that you have pledged to the LLS mission, and your goal to be the fundraising total that you are striving to achieve above your commitment. With these marathons being so competitive, we have provided a chart below to show some stats from prior years to guide you in your fundraising plan:

Minimum fundraising commitment

Last year, most applicants chosen to receive spots had fundraising plans for at least

Last year’s per person fundraising average

**Note that this year we have fewer Boston Marathon spots than last year. Consequently, we expect that the average application accepted will have a commitment that is HIGHER than $18,000.**
